
EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME
On the 31 December 2020 the Brexit transition period ends.
- EU and EEA citizens’ rights living in the UK and all UK citizens rights living in the EU will no longer be secure after this date.
- EU and EEA citizens’ who live, study and work in the UK can secure their rights if they apply for the UK Governments EU Settlement Scheme.
- Applicants will be eligible for either settled or pre-settled status.
- All applications must be submitted before the specific application deadline.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND TUITION FEE LOANS
On the 30 October 2020 the UK's Secretary of State for Education Michelle Donelan confirms that EU citizens with pre-settled and settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, will be eligible for home fee status, undergraduate, postgraduate and advanced learner financial support from Student Finance England for courses starting in the academic year 2021-22
Financial support from Student Finance England includes tuition fee loan for undergraduate and postgraduate funding but only if they have applied and had their status approved under the EU Settlement Scheme.
